L.A.’s Grumpy (my Dad) has been bugging me for the pics of L.A. and the dogs I took when we were down there last weekend, because he said they were going to be oooooooh so cute. He was right. I present to you a tale of puppy love, in black and white.

L.A.’s Daunt (that’s Dog-Aunt) Vixen comes over to inspect what in the world this little thing is doing in her house and proceeds to smother him with kisses.
L.A. is not quite sure how to react to this outpouring of affection.
Daunt Vixen decides to turn her attention to Grumpy, who she knows loves her smooches. L.A. investigates further.
Upon further review, L.A. decides that he’d like to return the gesture and gives his own little kiss.
The love affair is short lived.
Notice Vixen’s face in the lower left hand corner. If you knew her, you’d know this was her “What, what did I do??” face.

We did this in a very high tech, super complicated way.

We’ll had planned to pick a winner this morning, but as a house with a 6 month old can be a bit unpredictable, we had to push it back, and we will be drawing the winner of the free mini session tonight. Be sure to check back!

Don’t worry, I was actually standing right next to him… I took this with a remote.

Sunday morning: Read books with Daddy. Laugh hysterically at the books that squeak.

Sunday night: Fall sound asleep at Aunt Lilly’s out.

Monday morning: Go visit Granna and Grumpy and get licked by the dog.

Listen to Grumpy tell all sorts of crazy stories.

Monday afternoon: Mom gives you this crazy new thing filled with frozen blueberries.

Gnaw away at it.
Get blueberry juice everywhere, then drop it on the ground and pound fists until you get it back.

Finally realize that you’ve sucked the thing pretty dry and give it back to Mom.

I can’t believe that it’s already been 6 months since we first met L.A. That first day was such an emotional, amazing and wonderful mix of tears, laughter, love and complete awe. As the days go by I continue to be amazed by this little boy, and the sense of complete joy he has brought to our lives.

To celebrate his 1/2 Birthday today, L.A. decided it would be cool to roll over for us. You may remember a post long ago where I captured him rolling from his belly to his back, but he never did it again and C missed it that time. So today C and I were talking and L.A. was playing in “The Rainforest” (which is what we call his activity mat). All of a sudden C caught him starting to do the roll out of the corner of his eye and yelled out “OH MY GOSH, HE’S ROLLING!” To which L.A. and I both almost jumped out of our skin. This time he rolled from his back to his belly, and he seems pretty proud of himself.

I decided since he was 6 months today and we were home that we should have a little photo shoot. Here’s how it went.
