Staycation all I ever wanted

C and I are home this week on Staycation, and we’ve been having a blast.  We’ve seen both Grandma’s and spent some time with a few friends.  I’ve been taking pictures like a madwoman, and just generally enjoying our little guy.  He’s still not interested in crawling, and while intellectually I know he won’t be rolling himself to kindergarten, I’m starting to wonder…. In all seriousness we’re just having a good old time, hence why I haven’t posted much.  Don’t worry, when I’m back to work next week I’ll be a better blogger.  I swear!

Baby Ryan

New babies are the most amazing thing in the world.  They force you to step back for a moment and marvel at it all.  In awe of their mothers who brought them into the world, and in awe of the little ones themselves who bring with them a sense of wonder and peace.

Today I got to spend the morning with this little guy, and despite my moving him all over the place he hardly complained.  He’s a sweet one.

Holiday Mini Sessions!!!

Okay, I know I’ve been hyping it up.  There’s been tons of interest, and I’m SO excited to be offering my first year of holiday mini sessions.  The idea for the holiday mini sessions came when I took a glance at my calendar and realized that there was no way time wise I would be able to provide everyone with the great pictures they were looking for given my holiday schedule and sessions already booked.  After considering it for a bit, I thought how fun would it be to do a slew of sessions for people in a short time frame at an affordable price?  Thus, the mini sessions were born.

These 20 minute sessions are really designed to give you a few great pictures for your holiday cards and gifts.  Unlike my typical 1-2 hour portrait sessions, these include just one location, one outfit and 5 online proofs.  If you’re interested in the down and dirty details, click here.

Still interested?  Check out our awesome selection of card offerings this year (and see some super cute, familiar faces).  All holiday cards are press printed on beautiful linen paper, and text is customized to your choice.

Now that you’ve got all the info, email me at crista@cristaacosta.com to secure your spot.  I am only offering 4 slots per location, and they’re already going fast, so be sure to get in touch as soon as possible!

Cubemates

I’ve been working at home this week due to a daycare debacle, so the little dude has been keeping me company. He doesn’t really care that I have actual work to do, he’s just pumped that his mama is home hanging out with him.

Little Dude

Just sharing some big hazel eyes for a midweek treat.  I have the best life.

Also, we’ve had a great amount of interest for the holiday mini sessions!  More information is on it’s way, I promise.  Sit tight for another day or two.

In looking at my calendar, (mini sessions aside) I’m getting booked up rather quickly through the end of the year.  If you’re thinking about holiday portraits, let me know as soon as possible.  As of right now it appears I only have 3 available weekends for guaranteed holiday deliveries.

Stay Tuned

I’m pleased to announce that I will be offering two rounds of mini sessions for holiday portraits.  Based on response, I’ll be looking to book one session day at Boothe Park in Stratford and another at Elizabeth Park in West Hartford.

Mini sessions will include a 20 minute portrait session, with the option for press printed cards of your choice.  Stay tuned for details including session dates, a bunch of cool holiday card options and other particulars.  If this is something you think you might be interested in, shoot me an email at crista@cristaacosta.com.

I look forward to seeing all your cute kiddos!

California Girls

One of my very best friends in the universe surprised me this week when she was in CT and spent a few days with C, L.A. and I.

I’ve known her since I was in first grade, and she’s the kind of friend where it truly doesn’t matter how much time has past since we’ve last seen each other.  We always pick right up where we left off.  The kind of friend who could have done anything on New Years Eve but cleared her social calendar to come hang out with us even though L.A. was only 2 months old and there was a good chance I’d hit the hay around 12:01 sharp, seconds after the ball dropped (I did).  The kind of friend who I know even if we haven’t talked in weeks, or months, I could pick up the phone mid-crisis and she’d have exactly the right words.  The kind of girl who despite a mild case of baby phobia was more than willing to pitch in and help me out while she was here.

The trips will never be long enough, and we’re looking forward to the day when she migrates back to the East Coast.

I just want you to know we love you Linds, and I’m so grateful that you are a part of our lives… and look, you’re holding a baby AGAIN! ;)
