Monthly Archives: September 2009

***Attention Clients***

As of today, I only have 2 weekend slots available for the remainder of 2009 and will be taking on a very limited number of weekday sessions.  In order to be able to process sessions in a timely manner for the holidays, and most importantly – in fairness to my family (and my sanity!) – I will not be taking any sessions on after November 21st.  The exception to that is newborn sessions, which I will always squeeze in, because they are so time sensitive.

Please contact me as soon as possible if you’re interested in booking a session for this year, as I expect these slots to fill quickly.

Look forward to tons of adorable kiddos to grace this blog, as well as some fun pictures and stories about my own two little monsters!

For the moms

I read this post by fellow blogger Fitz over at My Mom Genes this morning, and I just had to share.  She writes so eloquently about feelings I’m certain we ALL know so well.  Suffice it to say, I was reading the last few lines through tear filled eyes.

Tell me…

…one thing in the world that’s better than this happy face on a Saturday morning.

Hmm… can’t think of anything?  I’ve got one for you.  How about this face?

Silly little stinker!

love.

It’s so rare that I get a picture of my two munchkins together, and even more rare that I’m in that picture.  So the other day when C picked up my camera and snapped these of our afternoon just hanging out, I couldn’t have been more grateful.  I love watching the way that the boys interact, the way that L.A. is so excited to see his brother and says with excitement “Beebee!!”.  I love watching P2’s face light up – I swear it just glows – when his brother comes within his eyesight.  I love love love these pictures.  They aren’t technically perfect in any way, but they are amazing.  They are love.

Anthony | CT Child Photographer

I love photographing children, all children, but especially happy smiley sweet little boys like Anthony.  We started off at the beach and spent some time just playing around.

How stinkin’ cute is he?  If you’ve hung out here before, you know I love me some chubby baby feet.

After the beach we headed back to do a cake smash session and I have TONS of fun photos from this!

“Mmmm… cake?  Don’t mind if I do!”

Gabby + Jason + 1 | CT Maternity Photographer

Gabby and Jason are expecting their first little one in just a few short weeks, and we got together to document and celebrate these last few days where it is just the two of them.  Gabby is so unbelievably cute, there was a (very brief!) moment where I found myself missing being pregnant.  Just a moment though, then I snapped out of it!

Let me take this opportunity to point out that when I was pregnant, my whole body was pregnant – meaning my face, my arms, my belly, my backside, you name it.  Even my toes were pregnant, I swear.  Gabby on the other hand truly just has an adorable little baby bump.  She’s gorgeous.

One of my very favorites!

And here is the family portrait as they are today with their two sweet pups.

… and Muffy, one of their first babies.

Lucas | CT Child Photographer

I just love him.  I’ve photographed Lucas several times now, and every time I do I feel like I get a peek into what our life will be six months from now as he’s just about that much older than L.A.  This time, our session was filled with lots of curious questions, hilarious jokester behavior, and just general, super sweet Lucas!

If he were a blonde

His name would be Dennis.  As in The Menace.  L.A. is knee deep in what I’m praying are the terrible two’s (because if we have to go through this again in the next few months, I just might have to be committed).  He’s at the age where one minute he’s the cutest thing I’ve ever laid my eyes on, and then the next he’s the freshest boy in America.  Luckily, there’s a whole heck of a lot of sweet thrown in there too, and these eyes… this little look… it gets me every time.
