My little buddy… I’ve been photographing Jake since before he could sit up, and several other times along the way.  Now here he is fast approaching his second birthday!  This is a shoot I would have love to have a video of to share with you so that you could see the crazy antics I go through to get these little cuties to look and smile at my camera.  We sang every Disney song I know, pretended we were jamming in a band, and at one point I was playing a serious game of make believe with this little guy.  I love this age… it’s full of so much intelligence and innocence at the same time.  I had so much fun with you guys, K.  Hope you love your photos!

And, just for a cute outtake of toddlerism for Mommy to remember… at just under two years old, when you ask Jake to smile, this is the face he makes.  I love him.

Do you see that beautiful blue eyed baby in my rotating header above?  I can’t believe that she’s already 14 months old.  Toddling around, and making silly faces… I got to spend the morning with this munchkin last weekend, and she is too much!  Fishy face!

I’m not ready for it, I don’t want you to be a toddler yet.  You are my sweet, snuggly, smiley little guy, and I want you to stay that way forever.  From the moment I met you, I looked up at your Dad and said “He has an old soul”.  That has become more and more apparent in the past year, and it’s one of the first things many people say when they meet you.  Your eyes have this mix of wisdom and playfulness that I almost can’t put my finger on.  You’ve been the quiet one, up until a few weeks ago when you finally started fighting back and making your opinion known when that pesky older brother of yours takes something from you.

You’ve taught me so much in the past year, and I think back to how scared I was to meet you… I didn’t know what our future held, but you have been the most incredible blessing, and we’d be lost without you.  I love you and your crazy hair, little dude!

Oh, my clients… they all become my friends, and become near and dear to my heart, but this is different.  Kristina was a friend and coworker before she was a client.  I cried when she told me she was pregnant, and I watched her belly grow.  Her son’s newborn session was the first that I walked away from feeling that I really had a calling to newborns, and ever other session we’ve done throughout the past few years have left me happy and inspired.  Kaleb is about to be a big brother, and I was so happy to capture these last few moments between Kristina and her sweet little guy.  This is a familiar scenario to me… a toddler who seems so grown, and in just a few weeks will feel like a giant compared to his baby sister…. but a year from now, I know that you’ll look back on these pictures and realize what a baby he was.  Kristina and Dave – I love you both, thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your family’s memories.

Is this not the most beautiful almost full term belly ever?  I swear I looked like this at 18 weeks.

The BEST before and after EVER….. I asked Kaleb to blow raspberries on his mommy’s belly, and he was ALL about it!!

Oh, I just love the baby and the mama with her baby belly.  Can’t wait to meet Little Girl in a few weeks… the nursery is TO.DIE.FOR., if you haven’t already gathered from these pictures!!

It’s been so nice to get outside and shoot with some color!  Sweet little Lilliana is a few weeks older than my little guy, and could not be any cuter.  Are you kidding me with the mohawk?  So stinkin’ adorable.

Presenting…. our Nursery Contest Winner!  I couldn’t have been more pleased to meet this sweet baby girl and her parents.  She was adorable, her nursery was divine, and best of all… it was a beautiful day so we ventured outside for a bit.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of spending the morning with this little cutie.  The session was a long time in the making, but I think it was certainly worth the wait.  A lot of times when I’m meeting little ones for the first time, I take a while before even picking up my camera to talk to them and let them get comfortable around me.  Little A didn’t even need a second.  He came down the stairs from his nap in Mommy’s arms, flashed me a big smile and then proceeded to ham it up for the rest of the session.  Love that!!

ughh… this little smile.  He’s such a heartbreaker!
