Matthew, the newest addition to one of my favorite families. All curly and brand new, he was a dream to photograph. My favorite part of the whole day though was at the end when we were doing a shot with his big brother, Jake pulled him in close and said “I love you little guy”. Cue instant tears from this girl. So so sweet!
Keeping it super cute and snuggly around here, there are lots of newborns on deck this week. First up is beautiful little Avery, one of the sleepiest little angels I’ve ever had.
This little miss was an absolute angel, and the first in a series of beautiful little girl babies that I’ve gotten to snuggle lately.
Sweet little Bree turns 1, and was perhaps the best cake smash baby in the history of all I’ve photographed!
These two have that something… it’s in the way that they talk to each other, the way that he looks at her, and the trust you can feel between them. I hope I’ve captured a tiny bit of it as they await the arrival of their baby girl.
When you’re a newborn photographer and your good friends have a beautiful baby, it’s cause to celebrate because that means you get to snuggle and love up on that sweet little boy. Meet Max, the third boy born to our good friends, and forever as cute as his big brothers!
I haven’t seen these two since they were way teeny tiny and they have grown so much! I do have to share a little funny story… I sort of pride myself on my ability to connect with children very quickly. To get to your child to open up and give real, silly smiles the first time they meet me… but sometimes that doesn’t happen. Sometimes someone may take a tumble .32 seconds into the session, and no matter what any of the adults do, there is no kind of happy face going to happen. Sometimes, you just have to know when to call it a day and try again. That’s what happened the first time I saw these little ladies, but we wound up meeting up a few days later – moods were better, the weather was warmer, and we got some of my favorite images of all time. This first one, and the black and white below of the same set up are some of my favorite images ever!
Several weeks early, this lady made quite the dramatic entrance into the world. Despite being early, she was the picture of squishy newborn health and I loved snuggling her.
