Sarah and Phil | CT Wedding Photographer

On a super chilly February day, Sarah and Phil promised their forevers in front of all their family and friends.  I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again… being a part of someone’s wedding day – the most important day of their lives – is an incredible honor, and I am always humbled to be chosen.  Sarah was the picture of perfection, and incredibly laid back in the hours leading up to her wedding… just happy to be finally marrying the love of her life.  Welcome back from your honeymoon Sarah and Phil!  As always, a HUGE thanks to Barbara for being my partner.

Hands down, one of my favorite DJs we have worked with – the dance floor was PACKED all night.  Check out Sarah, mid jump.  SO FUN!

Venue: St. Clements

Lauren and Peter | CT Wedding Photographer

If you’ve hung out here for any length of time (or heck, even visited once or twice) you know I’m a sap.  I’m a sucker for the moment a bride puts her veil on and looks in the mirror and realizes “I’m really getting married today”.  I choke tears back when her dad sees her for the first time, and when she takes that last deep breath before she walks down the aisle.  I listen intently during the vows and remember the day I promised my own life to my husband, and all that those words entail.  I beam from ear to ear when my bride and groom walk back up the aisle married and feel the contentment during their first dance.

With Lauren and Peter, it was all that and more.  In the past year, C and I have gotten to know them, we’ve gone out to dinner, and really have a great connection.  It was more than being honored to be a part of someone’s day, it was truly sharing in the happiness of a friend’s wedding.

All the mush aside, I can also say hands down this was the BEST ceremony of the season… as Peter vowed in an intently serious voice to promise his love and fertility to Lauren.  Moments earlier I was wiping tears away, and  suddenly (along with the rest of the church) I was desperately trying to contain my laughter.  Lauren and Peter, thank you for choosing me to be a part of your day.  It was an honor, and we are incredibly blessed for your friendship.

Venue:  The Society Room

Bride’s Dress:  Priscilla of Boston

Band: Silver Streaks (they put a hurting on the dance floor that night!)

Many many thanks to Barbara and Christa for spending the evening with me at this lavish affair!  All photos above are a mesh of our work from the night.

Kasey and Christian | The Barns At Wesleyan | CT Wedding Photographer

At the end of October Barbara and I got to spend a beautiful (dare I say nearly perfect?) day with Kasey and Christian sharing in their wedding day. Their bridal party quickly welcomed us in, and it felt a whole lot more like hanging out with friends in celebration than it did work. Thank you for letting us share your day!!

Mark and Jenny | CT Wedding Photographer

Mark and Jenny got married on a beautiful September day at the quaint Red Lion Inn up in the Berkshire mountains.  They invited only their closest family and friends for an intimate affair that I was honored to be a part of.  With simple grace, and not much fanfare they promised their lives to each other in a sweet, quiet way.  Many congratulations to you Mark and Jenny, thank you for choosing me to capture your day!

Ashley and Charlie | CT Wedding Photographer

This just may go down as my favorite wedding of the season.  It had all the ingredients for a perfect wedding – an incredibly emotional ceremony in which I quietly wiped away tears as I was shooting, amazing toasts with the perfect mixes of laughter and love, a gorgeous (and cooperative!) bridal party, but most of all – a couple who is truly meant for each other.  Being around Ashley and Charlie for just moments allows you to see their connection, their balance, and their incredible love for each other… never mind the fact that they have chemistry for days.  I cried several times through their day, and as I went back through their pictures I lived it all over again… the smiles, the laughter, the love…. a perfect wedding.

Ashley and Charlie – Thank you.  Thank you for choosing me to be a part of such an incredible day.  Congratulations!

A big huge thanks to Barbara for second shooting!

Lori and Steven | CT Wedding Photographer

I can’t believe that it’s been three weeks since Barbara and I shot this gorgeous wedding at The Inn at Longshore.  This wedding had the perfect amount of smiles, emotion, poignant toasts, AMAZING mini cupcakes, crazy dancing… and oh, did I mention?  Steven serenaded Lori on his guitar.  So sweet!  I met Lori through one of my very favorite client-turned-friends, and I’m so grateful that they chose me to capture their wedding day.  Coincidentally in chatting about wedding plans, Lori and I found out that they were headed to the same resort that C and I went to on our honeymoon.  A little slice of heaven.

Lori and Steven, thank you for being so patient with your sneak peek!  I hope you enjoyed your honeymoon and are settling in to the bliss that is married life!

Mark and Jenny | CT Engagement Photos

Mark and Jenny are getting married in just a few weeks at the historic Red Lion Inn, and I can’t wait.  We met up a few weeks ago for some sweet engagement photos, and despite saying they were shy in front of the camera, they nailed it!

I have a TON of sessions to share with you this week, I’m up to my eyeballs in editing!

Jolene and Bryon | CT Wedding Photographer

Jolene and I go waaaay back, we grew up together and spent summers body surfing the RI beaches and then lounging the evenings away at her family’s house on the shore.  We were great friends through high school, but then as it often does – life happened, and we sort of lost contact.  One day last fall Jolene contacted me on FB to say she was getting married and wanted to know if I’d photograph her wedding.  The answer (of course!) was yes, but then Jolene told me that she was marrying Bryon Swann – wait – Bryon Swann as in a year older than us, everyone always thought he and I were related Bryon Swann?  What a small world.

You see, Jolene and Bryon didn’t really know each other in high school.  Sure, they passed in the hallway, and knew who the other person was, but they didn’t really have the same friends.  After high school, everyone went their seperate ways, and it wasn’t until a few years ago that Jolene and Bryon just so happened to buy condos in the same building.  As fate would have it, they were  living just a floor apart – literally one on top of the other.  Cue romance and friendship, and all the wonderful things that brought us to this day.

Bryon and Jolene – thank you so much for letting us share your day!!
