The B Family | CT Family Photographer | CT Children’s Photography

The last time I saw this clan all together, Duff and I were both super pregnant with our little boys and her maternity session yielded what is still one of my favorite maternity images.  Last week I finally got to meet her little guy in person and catch up with the rest of the family.

I love him.  Oh, and for the record – I didn’t touch his eyes at all, they really are that beautiful ocean blue.  Gorgeous!

Just for fun… the tiny dancer and mini John Travolta ;)

And lastly, Jillie.  When people talk about a wise soul and how it’s something you can’t quite put your finger on, this is the look that gives it away.

The M Family | Connecticut Family Photography

What a gorgeous family, and in a way semi sort of related to me (maybe)?  Mom is the sister of one of my aunts (by marriage), so I guess not technically related at all, but I like to think of most of my clients as family anyway, and the M family is no different.

Big sister Abby was far and away one of my best helpers and greatest models I’ve had this holiday season.  We talked about the American Girl dolls, and she helped me test my light out, she was so much fun to photograph – and gorgeous too!

Matthew wasn’t sure of me AT ALL, but a couple silly conversations between us without me even holding the camera, and look what I got!  Love this one.   It’s like he’s saying, okay maaaaaaybe I’ll trust you.

and lastly, sweet little Leah.  Such a doll, and loved so much by her family.  I want to reach through and just squeeze those little cheeks.

Abby | CT Child Photographer

This session was a long time coming.  We were forced to reschedule many times because of our unpredictable New England weather, but it came together last weekend and I finally got to meet Abby.  This little girl has so much personality, and so much spunk, I had a blast hanging out with her.  We hit it off pretty much right away, and she held my hand as we walked through the park and even hugged me goodbye.  SO sweet!!!

I’m certain I’ll be back to share some more from this session, because I have about a million favorites, but for now, I’m leaving you with some Abby sass.  Check out her top model posing.  Love this girl.

The S Family | CT Family Photographer

There are some families that you meet that just blend so perfectly together.  I had the opportunity to spend a morning with the S Family, and they fit that bill to a t.  Gathered together to celebrate the 50th wedding anniversary of their parents, the children and grandchildren all hung out and had a great time.  It was effortless to become a part of their world for an hour.  Thank you for letting me share this time with you!

…and last, but FAR from least…. the reason they were all gathered together.

A big thanks to my friend and amazing Boston photographer, Kristina for sending the S family my way!

Jack Attack | CT Child Photographer

I can’t believe it’s been a year since I first met Jack.  He was just three weeks old, and I’ve had the great pleasure of watching this family grow together.  Jack is now on the move, and sweet as ever.  One of the great things about being hired to capture a child’s first year, is that I also get to really know (and love!) their parents.  I’ve really really enjoyed working with all three of you, and I can’t wait to see you again for Jack’s 18 month pictures!

Have I mentioned I love this little family??!?  How cute are they!?

Beautiful | CT Family Portrait Photographer

I’ve been wracking my brain all morning trying to think of the best way to describe this family to you.  A family that is so incredibly special to me, and to so many others.  A family that loves each other fiercely, and plays together… truly enjoying their time with one another.  A family that gives of their time so generously and opens their home to so many.  A couple that still look at each other with as though they’re in the early stages of dating despite having 12 years of marriage under their belts.  A husband who calls his wife “Rubia” with the sweetest inflection in his voice in reference to her gorgeous red hair.  A woman who I admire as a mother, a teacher, a christian and a friend… who I trust so completely with my children, and whom I am ridiculously lucky to have in my life.

I realized that no matter how I phrased it, my words wouldn’t do them justice, but I hope that these pictures do.  This family is beautiful, in every sense of the word.

I mentioned the word beautiful, right?!?

Sometimes in life, the focus has to be on the kids

and sometimes it has to be on each other.

Francisco and Jennifer know that though… you see what I mean about the way they look at each other?  The way their arms are so gently intertwined… and then in the next minute the way they laugh together.

Oh, and PS – they get an A+++ for family outfit coordination.  Perfection!
